Hey, friends! I've officially touched down in the captivating realm of Oceania, and Sydney has given me an incredible start to my journey on the other side of the world. I am only here 3 full days.
Sydney has proven to be a gem of a city. Its mix of cultures are truly amazing. It has Latin American and European vibes, but it's the strong presence of Asian and Middle Eastern people that caught my eye.
Food? WOW, get me started. We've got a buffet of options here! From Italian classics to spicy Mexican, it's all here. But guess what's stealing the spotlight? Asian flavors are rocking the scene - Japanese, Chinese, Thai dishes, a range of Korean, and the hearty Middle Eastern goodness. And here's a curve-ball - Malaysian and Nepalese cuisine that's just mind-blowing.
Navigating Sydney's vastness has been overwhelming, I admit. It's like trying to tackle a giant puzzle. But, I've decided to keep my focus on personal growth. That means picking up good habits and leaving behind the ones that hold me back. With this mindset, I've come to terms with the fact that I can't possibly explore every nook or cranny of this sprawling city.
I'm going with the flow and trusting that I'll soak in what truly matters for me at this moment And if there's something I absolutely can't miss, I've got a plan for it.
Now, speaking of desires, my main goal in Sydney was to see the iconic Sydney Opera House. Spent a whole day there. I took a tour and caught the musical "Sweeney Todd" in the evening. I've watched my fair share of plays, but this one holds a special place. its dark charm and vivid portrayal of human emotions struck a chord. It's a poignant reminder that vengeance never yields the satisfaction we seek.
I strolled around Darling Harbor, checked out the aquarium, zoo, and wax museum. But, to be honest, the best part? The streets! Sydney's a candy land of handsome men - all shades, sizes, and ages. Quite the treat for the eyes!
Tomorrow, I'm revving up for a road trip along the Aussie coast. My friend of 40 years lives on the Sunshine Coast, and that's my next stop. It's been 18 days of adventure so far, and even though tiredness creeps in, my spirit's alive and kicking. I am still a bit scared but I'm on a mission to add healthier habits and more self-love to the mix.
Oh, quick heads-up - the FIFA Women's World Cup is in full swing here in Sydney! The city's buzzing with the game's energy, adding an extra zing to my experience.
Hang tight, folks! More tales from my Oceania adventure coming your way soon. Sending you all the good vibes and wanderlust from across the miles.
Deeply love you
